A Pasco man accused of raping a preteen girl said she initiated the sex, court documents show.
Omar Mancilla-Oregon, 34, pleaded innocent Tuesday in Franklin County Superior Court to one count of first-degree child rape. His trial is May 20.
Pasco police were notified after the girl went to her school counselor and reported being sexually assaulted in February.
Mancilla-Oregon allegedly admitted to detectives that the two had inappropriate contact, including him kissing and groping her, court documents said. It reportedly escalated to sex.
Mancilla-Oregon was arrested after the interview and has been ordered to have no contact with the girl while the case is pending.
He is in the Franklin County jail on $50,000 bail, in addition to an immigration hold.
