A Kennewick man is being held on $75,000 bail on allegations he sexually assaulted a pre-teen girl almost daily for at least a month.
David Vasquez Alcocer, 43, pleaded innocent in Benton County Superior Court to two counts of second-degree rape of a child. Both charges include the aggravating circumstance that he used his position of trust to commit the crime.
His trial is scheduled May 11.
Benton County sheriff’s deputies were called to the girl’s home last week for a report of child sexual abuse. Her mother said the girl had just disclosed the alleged abuse and said the suspect had been inappropriately touching her for weeks, court documents said.
The girl was crying and upset as she shared the details with the deputy, including how Alcocer would grope her, documents said.
Alcocer was arrested March 11. He admitted the sexual assault and said he planned it for when he knew the girl’s family was not around, documents said.
A judge has ordered Alcocer to have no contact with the girl while the case is pending.
