An Othello man suspected of hitting a pedestrian last fall was found hiding under a blanket in a house Thursday, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Raymundo Juarez Garcia, 23, was found in the 300 block of East Elm Street in Othello after a search by Grant County law enforcement and two deputy U.S. marshals from Spokane, said a police report.
The task force staked out a house for several hours and found Garcia hiding under a blanket next to a clothes dryer in the house, the report said.
Juarez Garcia was wanted on suspicion of hit and run Oct. 20 near Beverly. A woman walking along the shoulder of Main Street was hit from behind by a 2000 Nissan Maxima that left the scene. She was hospitalized.
