A Bank of America representative was robbed and assaulted by two men in a vacant Kennewick house Monday, police said.
Ryan Hibbs with MS Property Maintenance was accosted after entering a house owned by the bank in the 600 block of North Volland Street, according to a Kennewick Police news release.
One man pointed a small pocket knife at Hibbs and demanded he hand over his money, police said.
Hibbs emptied his wallet, which contained $200, then one man punched Hibbs in the stomach, causing him to fall to the floor, said police.
The men fled out a rear sliding door, which Hibbs found open when he arrived at 2 p.m. to do a home inspection.
The suspects, who may have been living in the house, headed west on foot, said police.
Officers arrived and contained the area, but were unable to track the suspects, believed to be in their 20s and wearing hooded sweatshirts with the hoods pulled up.
