A Pasco woman recently was shot at a known Pasco gang hangout that’s been the target of two shootings earlier this year, police said.
Maria Diaz, 59, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland late Friday for a superficial wound after she was struck by one of the bullets that penetrated the home at 415 N. Douglas Ave. in east Pasco, said Pasco police Capt. Ken Roske.
She was treated and later released from the hospital.
The home was hit by several bullets, though no one saw the shooter and whether it was done by someone walking or driving by, Roske said.
The home is a known gang house, and Diaz is the mother of a known gang member, Roske said. The home was shot at in February and September, though no one was hit then.
The shooting isn’t believed to be related to other recent gang-related shootings in Pasco, Roske said.
“This is kind of a free-for-all house,” he said. “Someone’s always bickering with them.”
