A Kennewick man was arrested late Saturday after doctors discovered his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter had at least two broken bones and numerous bruises on her face and body.
The mother brought the girl to Kadlec Regional Medical Center's emergency center on 19th Avenue around 8:45 p.m., said a Kennewick police release. Doctors called officers to the emergency center after learning of the extent of the girl's injuries.
Kennewick detectives arrested Tory Berg after learning of his connection to the girl's mother. He was booked into the Benton County jail on a 72-hour hold on suspicion of first-degree assault of a child.
