A Kennewick driver who tried do the right thing by following a vehicle after a teen was pushed out of it ended up being shot at.
The driver told Kennewick police that a teenage boy appeared to thrown from a car about 5 p.m. Monday near 10th Avenue and Washington Street.
The driver started to follow the other car and as the two vehicles neared 14th Avenue and Washington Street, someone fired a shot at the pursuer, police said.
A bullet hit the car near its tailpipe but no one was hurt.

The teen was highly intoxicated and uncooperative with officers, police said. The teen was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol and released to his father.
