A suspect reportedly crashed a car into a Pasco house Monday morning and barricaded himself inside a shop before surrendering to police.
Jose Lopez Jr. was arrested on suspicion of eluding and reckless endangerment following the car chase at 10:30 a.m.
An officer saw Lopez run a stop sign at Sandifur Parkway and Robert Wayne Drive, said police Capt. Jim Raymond. Lopez drove away in a Ford Thunderbird when the officer tried to stop him and ended up crashing into a house on Tyre Lane.
Lopez then ran into a nearby shop on Road 52 and refused to come out, Raymond said. Officers were able to talk to Lopez through a wall and eventually convinced him to surrender.
Lopez has outstanding warrants for his arrest and he was booked into the Franklin County jail.
