A Kennewick man was arrested Thursday night for allegedly accessing child pornography following a weeks-long investigation.
Kennewick police began looking for a suspect after getting a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through a Seattle police task force, that at least two images determined to be child pornography were downloaded from the Internet in the area.
Search warrants led detectives to Jonathan Tavarez-Trujillo, 28, who was identified as accessing and viewing the images. He was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The investigation is continuing.
