A Kennewick man didn’t get to enjoy his freedom for too long after his release from the Benton County jail.
Police arrested Patrick Dwayne Abbott, 25, for car prowling just a mere 17 hours after he was released from jail.
He was originally arrested Sept. 17 on a Department of Corrections’ warrant.
Abbott was spotted around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday for allegedly breaking into cars at the Super 8 Motel on Columbia Center Boulevard, police said. He was confronted by an employee who then called 911.
A car owner was able to identify property Abbott apparently took from one of the vehicles, police said. Abbott was booked back into the jail on suspicion of theft and criminal trespass.
