A Samsung employee stationed inside a Kennewick store is accused of stealing $5,500 in electronics and selling them on Craigslist.
Oscar A. Perez, 21, pleaded innocent in Benton County Superior Court to one count of first-degree theft. His trial is set Dec. 15.
The Kennewick man was assigned to work in Best Buy when he allegedly took seven cellphones and a tablet from the store between July 25 and Aug. 26.
Perez disposed of the cellphone or tablet packaging and hide the items in his clothing, then he left the store without paying for the items, court documents said.

When confronted, Perez reportedly admitted the theft to both Best Buy loss prevention staff and Kennewick police, documents said.
Perez claimed he sold all but one item on the online classified website.
He is out of custody on his personal recognizance.
