A semi-truck veered off the road following a crash near Burbank, clipping the side of a farm building where dozens of people were eating lunch.
No one inside the Kiska Farms building was hurt, though the truck leaked diesel fuel onto the property and destroyed some freezers, officials said.
Two drivers from Pasco were injured in the crash and treated at local hospitals.
The crash happened shortly after noon Monday on Highway 124, about two miles west of Highway 12.
The semi was driving east on Highway 124 when a Honda Civic pulled out in front of it while turning, according to the Washington State Patrol. The two vehicles collided.
The semi then went off the road and into the building.
The driver of the truck, Ignacio R. Larios, 58, was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, state patrol said. The Civic’s driver, Santa T. Hernandez, 21, was treated at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
Officials at the scene reported both drivers had minor injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
