The Friday shooting death of a 20-year-old man in Walla Walla might have been accidental, police said.
Ramiro Lopez Jr., of Walla Walla, died after being shot once in the head Friday morning in the 300 block of West Chestnut Street, Walla Walla Police spokesman Tim Bennett said in a news release. Bennett said police aren’t looking for suspects at this time, and it is possible the shooting was an accident.
The semi-automatic pistol used in the shooting was reported stolen earlier this month, Bennett said.
At least three people who saw the shooting. Bennett said the witnesses are cooperating with police.
