An 18-year-old Connell man was charged this week with second-degree murder for a Monday afternoon shooting at an apartment complex.
Fernando Gonzalez is to appear Tuesday in Franklin County Superior Court on the new charge.
Gonzalez is accused of killing John Bounhomsavanh. The suspect claimed that he fired as Bounhomsavanh and the victim's friends rushed into the Connell apartment where Gonzalez was staying.
Bounhomsavanh, 32, of Pasco, died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Samelanxay Johnny Vongvilay and Jose Eduardo Carcamo -- two Pasco men who were with Bounhomsavanh -- have each been charged with one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a gun.
Gonzalez is in the Franklin County jail on $250,000 bail. Vongvilay, 23, and Carcamo, 25, each have bail set at $100,000.
Connell Police Chief Chris Turner and Prosecutor Shawn Sant will hold a news conference Monday afternoon to discuss the case.
In the meantime, people with additional information on the shooting are asked to call the Connell Police Department at 509-234-4141.
