A woman who police say wore fake facial hair when she robbed a Kennewick convenience store was arrested Wednesday at a motel.
Brooke L. Hampton, 35, was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery. She was arrested at the Haney Inn in Richland.
Hampton is accused of taking an undisclosed amount of money last month from the Circle K on West Canal Drive, police said. She allegedly claimed to have a gun and attached fake hair to her face.
Police were able to identify Hampton as the suspect after a tip came in about clothing worn during the robbery, police said. Police released surveillance footage of the suspect.
Investigators found other evidence in the motel room during a search.
