Alcohol is suspected of playing a role in a rollover crash Thursday night that killed an Ephrata man, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
James Robert Tinley, 71, was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe south on Dodson Road Northwest when the car crossed into the northbound lane, the sheriff’s office said. Tinley overcorrected and the car spun off the road.
Tinley was pronounced dead at the scene south of Ephrata, the sheriff’s office said. He was wearing a seat belt but didn’t have it fastened correctly.
The Hyundai was totaled.
