A West Richland woman and a Richland man were arrested Tuesday after having a screaming fight while floating on a raft on the Yakima River in various states of undress.
The fight was reported at about 5:10 p.m., and Benton County Sheriff’s Office deputies chased the duo on foot for about an hour and a half before arresting them near the Van Giesen bridge in West Richland, said Sgt. Bob Brockman.
The man, 33, was booked into Benton County jail on suspicion of violating a protection order, domestic assault and obstructing and resisting arrest, Brockman said.
The woman, 41, was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of obstructing arrest and lewd conduct, as she was naked, he said.
Their names were not released Tuesday night.
