Four people were arrested Wednesday evening in Kennewick after one them pocket dialed 911 while allegedly attempting to kidnap a man.
The 27-year-old male victim, whose name wasn’t released, was reportedly led into a garage on the 1400 block of Ninth Place by a woman, a release said.
Once inside, two men entered the garage and attacked the man, punching him repeatedly and tying him up with twine, said Kennewick police.
But the suspects didn’t realize one of they had accidentally called 911 on his cellphone until Kennewick police officers showed up. Authorities said they found methamphetamine, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the house.
Robert J. Beck, 29, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree attempted kidnapping and first- and second-degree assault.
Rachel Heintz, 25, and Jarad Mo, 19, were arrested on suspicion of first-degree attempted kidnapping. And Scott Andrews, 48, was arrested on suspicion for conspiracy of attempted kidnapping and possession of a controlled substance. All four were booked into the Benton County jail.
The victim was treated at Trios Health for a cut to his head.
