A 16-year-old boy underwent surgery Friday after being stabbed several times in his torso during a fight near downtown Kennewick.
The teen’s name was not released by Kennewick police because he is a juvenile, so his condition could not be checked Friday evening.
Police were called at 8:52 a.m. about a teen who’d been stabbed, was bleeding from his stomach and was inside the Grocery Outlet’s bathroom.
The boy was treated by Kennewick paramedics before being taken to a Tri-City hospital, where he had surgery, according to a news release from Kennewick Officer Becca Jones.
The initial investigation revealed that the teen had been involved in some sort of argument near Fourth Avenue and Olympia Street.
No suspects have been arrested.
