A driver was arrested after he was accused of displaying a pistol in an intimidating manner after getting into an argument with pedestrians, according to Kennewick police.
Two pedestrians were crossing the intersection at North Arthur Street and West Metaline Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday when a car approached in what they thought was an aggressive manner, according to police reports.
The pedestrians and driver exchanged words, and the pedestrians told police the driver took a semi-automatic pistol from under his seat before driving away, according to police reports.
Police located the car and found a black pellet pistol under the front seat, according to police reports.
Ruben Salazar, 44, was arrested on suspicion of having a weapon, second-degree false reporting and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Salazar’s hometown was not immediately available.
