A 50-year-old Warden woman has died after crashing her motorcycle near George Friday afternoon, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Patricia Reiber-Murphy was riding a Yamaha motorcycle on Silica Road Southwest when two motorcyclists ahead of her turned to the left at Vantage Road.
Reiber-Murphy apparently did not notice they were turning and lost control of her motorcycle, according to sheriff’s office reports.
She skidded about 60 feet and was thrown from her motorcycle, according to sheriff’s office reports.

She was flown by air ambulance to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.
“There have been too many motorcycle collisions in Grant County over the past few months, and I ask motorists and riders to please be careful so we don’t have any more tragedies,” said Sheriff Tom Jones in a statement.
