Connell police had to shut down a section of Highway 260 Thursday morning to get an aggressive moose that came into town back to safety.
It took a few hours and at least ten people to herd the young moose out of town, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Officer Kerry Mclerran said.
The moose charged a maintenance worker in town and was aggressive towards the group as they tried to herd it.
Eventually they got the moose across the highway and near a canal where it could go safely on its way, Mclerran said.
The moose was in town for around four hours.
