PASCO, Wash. -- A Pasco woman was sentenced to one month in jail for attacking her father with a brick, rake, pistol and car.
Sadie Nichole Martinez, 26, pleaded guilty last month in Franklin County Superior Court to third-degree assault and was given credit for the time she already has served in jail.
According to court documents, Martinez first hit her father Aug. 7 in the face with a brick, which left a mark above his eye. He also claimed she hit him with a BB gun.
Then on Aug. 8, her father told Pasco police he was in a chair in an alley behind a home when Martinez drove the car at him quickly, hitting him on the leg, documents said. He hid behind a pole as she reversed and came at him again.
Never miss a local story.
Martinez then drove around the block and again sped toward her father before she stopped the car, removed a rake from the trunk and hit him with it, court documents said.
She then got a pistol from the passenger compartment of her car and struck her dad with it. The hammer was cocked, which left a mark on his lip and bloodied his teeth, documents said.
She also pointed the gun directly at his face, but took off when her father yelled for help from passers-by.
Witnesses told police they saw the daughter and father arguing and heard the man yell that she had a gun as he backed away from the car. However, witnesses said they never saw a gun.
Officers found the car at 9:54 p.m. parked outside Martinez's North 24th Avenue apartment and obtained a search warrant. A BB gun and rake were found in the car and a bag of meth and an empty gun holster were found in Martinez's bedroom, documents said.
When interviewed by police, Martinez denied hitting her father or having a gun. She also said she did not drive to the house but claimed her father attacked her.
Martinez has no prior felony convictions.
