Tri-City law enforcement officers helped the Spokane Police Department on Thursday with a large, on-going drug bust in Benton County.
Authorities arrested several people and seized 20 pounds of methamphetamine, Spokane police Cpl. Teresa Fuller said in a news release.
The Pasco Police Department played host to the operation, while officers from Pasco, Kennewick, Richland and Benton County assisted. SWAT officers from the Tri-Cities and Spokane also contributed, along with the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force.
The case began in Spokane, said Spokane police Chief Craig Meidl, and eventually reached to the Tri-Cities. Authorities plan to continue their investigation and release more information later.
