Kadlec Regional Medical Center was on lockdown for an hour Thursday after a patient reportedly emailed a threat to the hospital.
“An individual upset at the billing process ... he said he was going to come to campus and hurt people,” said Richland police Capt. Mike Cobb.
Police are working to confirm the suspect’s identity and plan to interview him.
The hospital decided to reopen and cancel the lockdown at 1:45 p.m. There was no threat to an adjacent day care or Christ The King Catholic Church, Cobb said.
