A Kennewick man was jailed Sunday after he hit a motorcyclist and then took off.
The driver of the Dodge Ram 3500 pickup hit the motorcycle near North Columbia Center Boulevard and West Deschutes Avenue on Sunday, then fled, said Kennewick police.
The driver of the pickup and the motorcycle rider were arguing about a flag flown on the Dodge. Police said the driver cut into the lane with the motorcycle to hit it.
Officers found the pickup near North Volland Street and West Canal Drive, and arrested Luis Valdavia-Yanez, 26, of Kennewick, on suspicion of aggravated assault and hit and run.
Police said the flag was taken off the truck and stored in the cab.
The motorcyclist was not hurt.
