A West Richland woman was hurt when a pickup truck following too closely drove into the back of her SUV on Tuesday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Cheryl L. Ellingsworth, 63, was driving her GMC Acadia on Beloit Road at Hanford and traffic had slowed just past the Rattlesnake Barricade near Highway 240 shortly before 5 p.m. She was struck from behind by an F150 pickup driven by Michael E. Aldrich, 43, of Kennewick, the state patrol said.
Ellingsworth was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Aldrich was not injured.
