A bomb threat resulted in Soap Lake High School students being evacuated on Tuesday morning.
A phone call at 9:25 a.m. triggered the emergency response. Students were moved to a safe location by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
“There are rumors that there was an active shooter. That is not the case,” said Sharon Palmerton, sheriff’s office spokeswoman.
The students returned to school at 1 p.m. after the buildings were searched and no threat was found.
