  • Pasco vehicle theft suspect runs over himself

    Pasco Police officers were dispatched to a report of a loud crash early Sunday morning in the area of Sylvester Street and North 26th Avenue. Sgt. Chad Pettijohn was in the area and immediately located a damaged silver Toyota Camry pulling out of the alley next to Day Wireless. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit eastbound across the city began. The pursuit continued through downtown and ended on Adelia Street near Elm Road when the driver jumped out and tried to run around the front of the car but got hung up by his sleeve. He was knocked down and then dragged about a car length. Brandon E. Arrieta, 20, of Pasco, was booked into Franklin County Jail, after being offered medical treatment, on investigative holds for vehicle theft and eluding, according to police officials.
