A 65-year-old man was arrested after he aimed a revolver at another person at the Village Tavern just after midnight Monday in Kennewick. No shots were fired.
Lawrence J. Johnson, 65, of Kennewick, was arrested for second-degree assault.
Johnson was reportedly arguing about “how cool (and) manly he is” when a 56-year-old man called him on it, according to Kennewick police. When challenged, Johnson drew a loaded .38-caliber revolver, said police.
“The (people) involved did not previously know each other and nothing had occurred to warrant a firearm being displayed,” said police.

A victim grabbed the gun and a third man took it after Johnson was knocked to the ground.
Police said it’s illegal to have a gun in a bar. Prosecutors are reviewing possible charges.
