A man suffered a severe head wound during an attack Friday morning by a person he was sharing a hotel room with in Kennewick.
The fight started about 4 a.m. at the GuestHouse Suites in Kennewick when two men got into an argument about who was going to pay for the hotel room. They both had been drinking, according to Kennewick police.
Zachery T. Thompson, 25, of Kennewick, reportedly attacked the victim and left in a car with a third person, police said.
The victim had a large cut across the top of his head and another on his ear when police arrived.
Detectives later found Thompson and arrested him for second-degree assault. He was taken to the Benton County jail.
The victim was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital where he was treated and later released.
