Family dining chain Dupus Boomer’s opened its long-awaited Richland location Aug. 24 at George Washington Way and Swift Boulevard in Richland.
The restaurant is named for a character who worked at Hanford in a 1940s comic.
Owners Greg and Carla Markel announced plans to open Dupus Boomer’s in 2014.
The location is part of Richland’s Swift Corridor redevelopment, creating a corridor between downtown and the Columbia River. The Markels own several restaurants in the area, including the Taco Time franchise with a Go Green Salad bar across the parking lot.
Dupus Boomer’s serves family fare and 44 beers on tap. It features a ground-floor bar and second-floor dining area with kid-friendly amenities. Prices range from $8 to $15 for entrees.
