    Ken Johanning, president of Kids Outdoor Education, shares details about the 19th annual Kids Fishing Day event being held this weekend at the Family Fishing Pond in Kennewick's Columbia Park. An estimated 6,000 trout were stocked for the event. The seven-acre pond is closed, except for participants during the event, until 3p.m. on May 7. The pond is normally only open to juvenile anglers (under age 15) and adults with a disability who have a designated harvester companion card.
