Jose Cisneros of Allstar Construction in Richland works from a small excavator Thursday removing buried tree roots from the previously concrete viewing area between the basketball and tennis courts at Lawrence Scott Park in Kennewick. The work is part of an extensive repair and resurfacing project for the park’s tennis, basketball and pickleball courts. The construction of three new pickleball courts is also part of the city project. The sports courts and area around the work site are closed to the public during construction. The anticipated completion date is June 15.
