Roiling flames fill the attic space above the garage at 238 W. 23rd Place on Monday afternoon in Kennewick as a firefighter aims a stream of water past another firefighter perched on ladder after cutting an access hole into the building with a chainsaw.
Officials say a fire started outside the home and then spread into the garage attic, causing about $80,000 in damage. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
