A 24-year-old Kennewick woman was killed Saturday morning when the Jeep Cherokee she was driving rolled down an embankment off Highway 221 near Prosser.
Adilene Montano was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred near milepost 24 just south of the city.
She was driving north on the highway about 9:50 a.m. when the Jeep crossed into the southbound lane, according to the Washington State Patrol. Montano lost control and the vehicle rolled.
Troopers say speed was the likely cause of the crash. Montano was wearing a seat belt.
There were no passengers in Jeep.
