  • Volunteers repaint, repair horses at Gesa Carousel of Dreams

Longtime volunteer Colleen Thornton explains how a small group of local volunteers are performing annual maintenance at the Gesa Carousel of Dreams in Kennewick. The bulk of the work has been filling gouges, sanding scrapes, touching up scratches and applying a clear coat to the 106-year-old wood horses. The facility will be closed Friday, March 25 to allow the paint and clear coat to properly cure. It reopens for Easter weekend.
