One passenger was killed and another injured when a pickup truck rolled Sunday on Interstate 82 near Prosser.
James E. Wilcox, 68, of Sunnyside, was pronounced dead at the scene and a second passenger, Ashley M. Null, 28, of Tacoma, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
Neither was wearing a seat belt, said the Washington State Patrol.
The driver Kim D. Cornwell, 51, of Outlook, was wearing a seat belt, but also was taken to Kadlec with injuries.
Never miss a local story.
She was driving a 2001 Ford F-150 west on the interstate about 3 p.m. when she drove off the road and rolled the truck about two miles east of Prosser. It landed on its top.
Null was listed in serious condition and Cornwell was discharged from the hospital as of Monday evening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, said the WSP.
