A tanker truck carrying 15,000 gallons of anhydrous ammonia tipped over on Myra Road in College Place this morning.
There has been no gas leaks from the tanker and a hazardous materials response team is on site, according to Walla Walla police.
The area around the tipped truck, which was driven by Noe G. Curiel, 27, of Pasco, has been evacuated and Myra Road from Rose Street, north to the round-about at Pine Street is closed. Curiel was taken to St. Mary's Hospital.
The College Place Police Department is in change. Agencies assisting include Walla Walla Police Department, the Walla Walla Fire Department, Washington State Patrol and the state Department of Transportation.
