A Richland man allegedly was driving drunk Monday morning when his car collided with a truck and rolled on the Kennewick side of the blue bridge, the Washington State Patrol said.
William V. Breithaupt, 44, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland after the 9:40 a.m. crash.
He was northbound on Highway 395 when his 1997 Mercury Marquis crossed in front of a 2014 GMC Sierra truck, state police said.
The pickup, driven by Kyle D. Charlson, also was traveling north on the highway when it hit the Mercury.
Breithaupt and Charlson were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Charlson, 26, of Battle Ground, was not injured.
Breithaupt could face a charge of driving under the influence, state police said.
