Energy Northwest will present certifications to Columbia Basin College's largest nuclear technology graduating class to earn national certificates since the program's start in 2009.
Twenty graduates will be honored at 6 p.m. today in the Center for Career and Technical Education Rotunda, on CBC's Pasco campus. More than half have received employment offers, two at Energy Northwest.
The National Academy for Nuclear Training certificate is awarded to graduates who receive a grade of B or better in all core courses of the nuclear technology curriculum. CBC is one of 33 colleges nationally and the only one in Washington to have its program certified by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations.
Earning the certificate are: Kevin Biddle, Amanda Bowman, Racheal Calaway, Bengt Freepons, Brandon Gray, Seamus Hanley, David Linneman, Michael Mattozzi, Melanie McKenna, Timothy McMullen, Mathew Muscarella, Miguel Orozco, Dennis Overturf, Isaac Salifu, Allen Salalila, Sulaiman Sannoh, Franz Schulz, Laura Valdez-Carrillo, Raquel Valdez-Carrillo and Richard Worley.
