The Prosser City Council is scheduled to vote tonight on a temporary ban on marijuana businesses.
The moratorium would last for six months or until the city approves zoning rules, which could happen as early as next month. The council meets at 7 p.m. at city hall, 601 Seventh St.
Prosser already has a retail pot shop called Altitude, which opened in July. That business wouldn't be affected but others couldn't open while the moratorium is in place.
