The Prosser City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday on a temporary ban on marijuana businesses.
The moratorium would last for six months or until the city finalizes zoning regulations, which could happen as early as next month.
The council meeting is 7 p.m. at city hall, 601 Seventh St.
Prosser already has a retail mairjuana shop called Altitude, which opened in July -- one of the first businesses of its kind in the state.
The moratorium wouldn’t affect that business but would prevent others from opening while the temporary ban is in place.
