A science, technology, math and engineering, or STEM, exhibit for young children will be at the Mid-Columbia Libraries Pasco branch Wednesday.
The UNI, a portable reading room that provides STEM-related books and hands on activities will be available from 2 to 6 p.m., a release said.
The exhibit is visiting communities throughout the state for the rest of the year and the Pasco event is the only one scheduled for the Mid-Columbia. Library officials said it goes hand-in-hand with the library district’s summer reading program science-based theme, Fizz, Boom, Read!
The exhibit concept was developed in New York state and brought to Washington last year by Thrive By Five Washington, a statewide agency focused on early learning.
