Richland will begin slurry seal treatments Tuesday in the Willowbrook, Hills West and Steptoe/Tapteal areas.
The project is expected to last about five days.
Slurry seal is a mixture of fine aggregate and emulsified asphalt, and it's being applied to the residential roads to extend the life of the existing asphalt, a news release said.
More information is online at www.ci.richland.wa.us/PublicWorksProjects.
Crews in Richland also will be paving several streets this week.
Drivers are asked to use caution.
Work is at: Cypress Place from McPherson Avenue to Marshall Avenue; Dogwood Place from McPherson to Marshall; Forest Avenue from McMurray to a privately owned section; Poplar Street from Thayer Drive to Marshall; and McPherson from Birch Avenue to Poplar.
