Whimsical windchimes, fragrant lotions and soaps, eye-popping paintings and many other handmade creations are featured at the annual Art in the Park sidewalk show today and Saturday at Howard Amon Park in Richland.
It’s the perfect escape for those who would rather do some shopping in the shade rather than watch hydroplanes on the river.
There’s no fee to wander among the hundreds of artist booths selling pottery, jewelry, photography, paintings, soaps, clothing, toys and more.
Vendors also sell food and beverages.
Hours for the Allied Arts Association event are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Ben Franklin Transit will provide shuttle service both days from the parking lots at Fran Rish Stadium at Richland High, 930 Long Ave., and Carmichael Middle School, 620 Thayer Drive, to the park.
