The Pasco City Council approved Monday a $79,223 bid from Sierra Electric of Pasco to install flashing beacons for crosswalks in school zones. Another $25,656 will go to upgrading electrical systems. The Pasco School District is expected to reimburse some of the money.
The council also approved an agreement to work with the school district on a new park at Road 60 and Three Rivers Drive near the new Barbara McClintock STEM Elementary School. The city's estimated portion of the project is $420,000. The city plans to develop five acres with the school district developing eight acres.
