The Tri-Cities had a seventh straight day of triple-digit temperatures Thursday, with the temperature hitting 100 degrees just before 4 p.m. at the Pasco airport.
That was down from 109 degrees at the airport Wednesday. A daily high temperature record of 110 degrees was set Wednesday at the Hanford Meteorological Station, beating the previous record of 105 degrees, set in 1970. Hanford keeps daily temperature records back to World War II.
The high Friday should be about 95 degrees, dropping to highs in the upper 80s Saturday through Monday.
The Mid-Columbia will remain under a red flag fire warning through 11 p.m. Friday.
