Employees of the Richland and Pasco Papa Murphy pizza stores collected towels, toiletries, clothes, gift cards and even a used van this week to give to a Richland family that lost their rented home and everything in it in a June 19 fire.
The fire broke out at 1615 McPherson Ave., while residents Kimberly Copus and Greg Baker slept.
Their three sons were spending the night with friends.
Josh Hoefer, who works at the Richland Papa Murphy's, said Baker goes to Kadlec Regional Medical Center every day for treatment. "He's in a lot of pain but he still won't go to Harborview because he doesn't want to leave his family," he said.
The family found another house to rent across the street, he said.
