The Seattle CityClub will recognize five Washingtonians through the Jefferson Awards for Public Service. This prize for public service recognizes people who make a difference in their community, nation and the world through their jobs or volunteer service.
Washingtonians are encouraged to nominate volunteer champions for the 2014 Washington State Jefferson Awards, a national recognition established in 1972 by the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Sen. Robert Taft Jr.
One winner will be selected to represent our state at the national ceremonies in Washington, D.C., in the summer.
Go to www.seattlecityclub.org/jeffersonawards to nominate a local hero. Nomination materials must be received no later than Feb. 28.
